TRANSFORMING LIVES | CREATING SOLUTIONS TO POVERTY | RESTORING DIGNITY

The Council of California Goodwill Industries is a professional association with 13 Goodwill member organizations operating in California and Southern Oregon.

The Council is engaged in statewide and regional collaborative ventures that advance Goodwill’s workforce development programs and services.  Our organizations proudly serve individuals with barriers to employment.

Established in 1970, the Council pools our members’ expertise, contacts and resources to monitor business trends, influence public policy and raise awareness regarding Goodwill’s mission, vision, goals, services and programs.

The Council sought to quantify the economic impact of Goodwill within California and worked with Elliott D. Pollack & Company to develop a method and study of calculating the economic and fiscal impacts of job placements and operations.

Goodwill organizations operating in California participated in the study linked above and a 2012 Economic and Fiscal Impact Study report was developed and publicly released in March 2013. .
